Prevalence of Orthorexia Nervosa in Academicians and the Influencing Factors

Objective: Orthorexia Nervosa/Healthy Eating Obsession is defined as a pathological obsession for consuming appropriate and healthy food. The aim of this study to determine the prevalence orthorexia nervosa in academicians working public university influencing factors. Methods: This was concluded between 01 January– March 2020 Nervosa its correlation with data were collected using Attitude Test-40 (EAT-40) ORTO-11 along information form. Results: In study, it observed that an advanced age caused higher risk eating disorder. addition, variables being range 34-41 years, female, receiving undergraduate education significant terms reducing (p>0.05). Conclusion: Factors such industrialization, developments socio-economic structure, mass media cause changes new tendencies dietary habits food consumption. As believed these conditions will become even more widespread future affect all sections society, including who are accepted be group due their perfectionist structure; prime importance raise awareness society inform individuals from multidisciplinary approach dieticians.
